Anyone ever had crabs...

I took my kayak out this evening for the first time in about two months. Came across this large colony of fiddler crabs. Didn't catch any fish, but I did stumble across a large scallop bed. The season opens July 1st, so you can bet I'll be filling some buckets in about two weeks. I love scallops...mmm.

Do you get any gators in the brackish water like that?
We just spotted a 5 footer this week right beside the road.
It was so close my 3-1/2 year old rolled up the window in the truck!

Have yo caught any pompano?
They are getting close to the beach now.

I haven't seen any gators yet, but I've heard they are out there.

I caught a real small pomp about two months ago, but that was it. What is a good lure to catch them on? The one I caught was on shrimp.

Yah, I'm not gonna miss a chance at harvesting some scallops. I'll probably go out a few days July 4th weekend and take my daughter along with me.
