They worked well for us last year. New ones are supposed to be "Stickier" but the old version worked fine for us.

White electrical tape and a fine point sharpie works just as good

Use them on quite a few scopes. Makes life during a PRS match and some hunting applications, much quicker and easier to see.

Do you have any issues with the tape when it gets really cold or smearing? I wouldn’t mind seeing a picture.

Never had issues with it when it was cold or smearing issues. Was on my SWFA scopes that I used all winter long calling coyotes without issues. Rain and snow it never smeared. Sorry don’t have any pictures of it because I don’t have the scopes anymore.

Probably more for shooting steel. But a guy could select an average elevation +- 2000’ and average temp and be within a 1/2 MOA to 600 yards. Which farther than most should be shooting at an animal anyways.

so 2000 for Sea level to 4000
6000 for 4000 to 8000
10000 for 8000 to 12000

The only turret stickers I've used were from Kenton Industries. They were simple and seemed to be effective and reliable. I prefer a first focal plane scope and just dial the turret based on ballistics now.

I have a weaver that has something like that. I really like it. Simple and effective. Too bad they don’t make it anymore.

This is a DIY Turret tape done on excel. I got the idea from a search that took me to a long range forum...

Steps:
1) start with .33 cell width
2) Mark cell borders to make hash marks
3) Merge and center every 4 cells to make MOA cells enter MOA in reverse order Left to right from highest MOA value. My CDS is in 1/4 MOA clicks yours may be different.
4) Cut out strip and check MOA marks to see if they match up with MOA on CDS dial.
4a) adjust cell width until MOA matches. ( I finished at .44 for my 15 moa CDS on a VX-3i cds-ZL)
5) use your favorite ballistics program to develop ballistic chart that gives MOA for every 25-50 yards.
5a) round to the nearest .25 MOA
6) merge and center cells to fit your yardages ( may need single digit for '100's for older eyes)
7) Assign colors to each cell for easier acquisition.
8) Put a note in the column about velocity and elevation for each tape
9) adjust cell heights to fit your turret height. You can choose to trim off MOA row but it may help align the strip and trim later.
10) print from laser or inkjet printer, cut out strip, line with packing tape, tape on turret. Cover with another layer of tape.
11) Shoot to verify ranges.

I am currently on step 8.
