Funny what 2300 late cow tags a year does to an elk herd. What happened to Gardiner hunting?
You're a history book, why don't you compare and contrast hunting there in 1985 and compare it to now.

Are you under the impression that RMNP is fenced? They should have put these wolves in rocky mountain/estes park.
Far away from any ranching, far from where they'd easily get poached/trapped, and where all the people of colorado could get a live look at the nature they wanted to see.
NoAre you under the impression that RMNP is fenced?
Then why on earth would you think that would work?
Spot on. Throwing wolves into an all you can eat buffet is alot different than them coming back on their own. What happened to Gardiner hunting?

Meanwhile you’re out smashing multiple cows with some 2 year old rag bulls a year, beating your chest about your 90 something elk kills for internet approval.. but ya wolves and government suck overallFunny what 2300 late cow tags a year does to an elk herd.

Cheer up, you might shoot your second elk one of these years.Meanwhile you’re out smashing multiple cows with some 2 year old rag bulls a year, beating your chest about your 90 something elk kills for internet approval.. but ya wolves and government suck overall
Pretty lousy hunter thats threatened by the big bad wolf.
Do your wear a lot of red by chance?
The good thing about wolves, it gives hunters like you an excuse for not shooting an elk every year.Totally right once again: wolves, especially when unmanaged, have zero impact on ungulate numbers (or behavior), especially elk.
You under the impression that those elk were from somewhere other than yellowstone? You're smart enough to see those populations and the pummelling that herd took, mysteriously after 1995.Funny what 2300 late cow tags a year does to an elk herd.

I don't think they'd stay there in perpetual fashion. Long enough for some famed elk to get ate. Then why on earth would you think that would work?

So do the residents. So do the nonresidents
