Annual Fort Peck Walleye Weekend

I have been going fishing with a group of guys for 9 years. We stay at a friends cabin in Fort Peck. We usually fish Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Well this year we set a new record of not catching one walleye. Everytime we would get our boats in the water the weather would blow us off the lake.

This is how the weather looked most of the weekend

Then these things started brewing up

We retreat back to the cabin because there were torandoes in the area.

The view off the deck, you have imagine another 40 feet of water on the lake because that is how far below full pool it is.

Anyway we finally get in the water on Sat. around noon.

we trolled for a couple of hours until the next thunderstorm brewed up and then had to get off the lake again.

so this is as close to any fish I got all weekend.

here is sunset on Sat.

We stayed up and just played poker and joked but never even went out on Sunday because the wind was blowing about 45 miles an hour and the waves were building to 5 and 6 feet. Still had fun just no fish.

Even though the fishing sucked....

You still obviously have a great time regardless of what is going on around you...

That bugling bull in those pics is a dandy! Sounds like the weather was a bummer but I bet the company was a hoot. Better luck next time!!
