Amazing day on roosters

We don’t have a big population here and apparently the drought really knocked numbers down. I found a pocket yesterday and after 10 km of walking today I was able to do something I never thought I would do. It’s been a heck of an annual pheasant weekend. Already looking forward to next year. Also made a heck of a shot on a coyote this morning.

Nice! I haven’t ever hunted pheasant but it’s on my to do list. I grew up in Bob white country and they are few and far between right now.

I’m about 6 hours from I’m the edge of pheasant ground hence why it’s an annual trip unfortunately. They sure are a fun bird to hunt

Congrats... Been a long time since I've been able to shoot a pheasant down here in Texas. When I was a kid, I was able to hunt a few places and scratch out a limit here and there.
