Kraven ol buddy, I saw you in another post asking for some pointers. ......Well here is one , the bigger birds on the right side are the male birds {gobblers}, the turkeys on the left side are females (hens). Here in Texas you can take 4 birds in the spring season, only gobblers though.

Jest funnin! AA
PS. After the first one it's all down hill from there!

Thanx AA.WOW that would be a sweet site to see.I have only seen about 15 turkeys out in the wild so this is all new to me bro.I know that I am supposed to shoot the one with trhe beard.Thanx again for the pic man. :D ;) :D

Okay AA you have to tell me that these birds are on the property you get to hunt. I want a pic of you with one of them. I prefer that you kill it before you try to have the pic taken though. :D

HOW Do ya shoot just one when they are ll bunched up like that and stick together. Ever have those issues ?!?!

That issue has come up for me twice. The first time I was very novice about turkeys and way too excited to think about what was going on. I was calling for another novice hunter and called in six jakes, this guy picks the closest one and lets loose, two birds went down and I am pretty sure a third was hurting pretty bad. That was the lesson.
The second time I had two birds come into my calls and wanted to shoot right away but the lesson from earlier helped me to hold and wait until they were seperated. I took the biggest bird. He was 22 Lbs. 10 1/2 inch beard and one inch spurs.

My recomendation would be to wait until your bird was seperated from the rest. I need to look at the regulations again but I think it is illegal to kill more than one bird at a time here in IL.
