I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about the land trade on the Jefferson River in SW Montana. I have a ton of knowledge on this area as I grew about 2 miles from where this trade is taking place. This is absolutely a win for the sportsmen. The canoe club pissed and moaned that they wouldn't be able to camp on the "beaver chew" but anyone that actually does their research or grew up here knows that the "beaver chew" wasn't even on public land. It was on the Private land bordering the state piece. This was about as fair of an exchange as I have ever seen.
