I just summited Mt Rainier a couple weeks ago for the first time. On that ice pile the bags are blue though.
On our descent there was a group of kids headed up to basecamp to spend a few days learning crevasse rescue techniques. As they passed, I said to one of the instructors, "that sure as hell beats sitting at home playing video games, doesn't it?" and he just nodded and smiled.
