I recently picked up a 7mm-08 and some dies. It's got a 22" barrel with a 1:9.25 twist. Which type of bullet would be optimal for best accuracy? I'm considering looking at either the 140 or 160 accubond, but would try something else. Any disadvantage to go with the heavier bullet?

Your twist should be OK for either bullet. Since the case is a bit on the small side I would think about a lighter 'X' bullet. Also the 140 gr partition would be a good choice.

About the best shooting bullet I have shot out of mine are 150 Grain Fusions. Unfortunately they aren't available as a component, I got mine as a test sample. if they ever come out as a component I would give them a good look. I've also had success with Speer 130 grain spitzers. Mine seems to shoot bullets between 130-150 grains about the best. I did shoot some 175's for a while when I was elk hunting with it and although they did shoot good enough, they weren't as good as lighter bullets for grouping.

'Twer it me and my 7-08 I wouldn't go higher than 140gr. Depending on what it's intended use was, but up to elk I'd probably start with the 120gr TSX for game and 120gr Vmax for fun/practice.
