6:49 1st light, 1st time out in Va

49 degrees, not bad. Jumped a small 8 point yestrrday setting up plus a couple of young coyotes. Tickled the antlers and just waiting.

5 does was checking the area out @40 yards staying in the thickets. Think they were more spooked by the doe pee. Not a problem, looking for one of the big boys to investigate.

Tall spike walked in and moved on

This evening had big doe and her 2 year old offspring. Let them go.just because they were given sign that there was something coming that never did. Still a good gunt today.

Saturday evening hunt went good. Hunting thick creek bottom, pulled 2 large does up with a few soft grunts. Big mama tried hard to get me to flinch. I could tell she was getting really frustrated. After about 40 minutes of the 2 moving around @ 10-30 yards. They finally walked off leaving me with about 15 minutes of shooting light. Same spot and the morning pop will be good for opening early ML'er 1st week in Nov.
