40X revisited

and refinished! After a day's worth of sanding, steaming and sanding some more...then a couple coats of tung oil, here is how that beat up CMP 40x turned out. (You can see the "before" pictures here in the "Pretty is as pretty does" thread.)

It looks like a completely different rifle!

My .22 Kimber shoots pretty good....

Another CMP rifle I got - a Kimber 82G shoots this well: all five shots at 50 yards.
