Don't know about Moose, but I saw what the .35 Whelen did to both of my blackies! 1 shot droped one on the spot. second bear, 1 shot ran 30 yards and dropped!
many canadians swear on them for all around guns! from elk, moose. deer and bear! So I would feel comfortable with one!
but then again, I would want my .338 or 300 wby as a camp extra!
