While quail hunting yesterday I stopped to visit a family I know who live in a trailer with no electricity, phone or indoor plumbing. They heat water on a wood stove or outside over a fire for washing dishes, clothes or themselves. They use propane lanterns after dark. Each of the three kids has a pet bobcat that lives in the trailer and sleeps with them in their bed. The bobcats each eat about a lb. of meat a day and weigh about thirty lbs. They raise horses and the husband works at a mill. The kids all attend school and the whole family are avid readers. They have over 2000 books in the trailer and outside in a shed.
The quail hunting was pretty good although it was too warm for good dog work. I only shot a few. I'd rather save them for colder weather.
