.280 Rem

If it was going to be pushed out by the .270, it would have long ago. Remington screwed the pooch on marketing the fantastic round. The .280 has a much better and wider bullet selection for reloading than the .270. But the .270 beats it by a long shot in factory chamberings.
 
I love the 280 ai. I have a couple of customs, one built on a Remington 700 action and one with a Borden action. I have used it to take pronghorn, deer, elk, oryx, and barbery sheep here in NM and bison in MT. I use the nosler partition or accubond.
