What do you feel is the perfect power for a 22lr scope? 50/50 hunting/range toy

I’ve been using a 2.5-10 but I am probably going to move that to another rifle. While I was looking at a replacement for my 22 it had me wondering what others would choose for their setup

I like a 3X9 at the minimum. 4.5X14 with AO is even better. This is for the squirrel hunting I do. There's times I can find them with my 12X bino when others can't with 10X.
I'm also still hunting with a bolt gun that's capable of hitting anything I can see within 60yards. This is a 5 shot group at 50yards with a 3X9 on a cz.

I like the 2-7 on mine. Some of those 3-9’s or other scopes are bigger then the rifle almost

2.5-10 for me has been the sweet spot. If I were only ever going to squirrel hunt with the rifle, a 4x fixed would be just fine. It's nice to have the extra mag at the range though for when I'm trying to shoot super tight groups.

All depends. A 1-6/8/10 could be a lot of fun.

I have an old swfa ss 10x on a 22 and its a lot of fun at 100 or further on targets.

I have a fixed 4x bushnell on my Rossi single shot, and a redfield 3-9x on my 10/22. I prefer the fixed 4 between the two.

I have a 3x9 on one and a 4x on the other. I find myself grabbing the one with the 3x9 more often than not. Most of my .22LR hunting is squirrel hunting in late season with no leaves on the trees. I like to be able to take those 40-50 yard shots with ease. The 3x9 helps me there. YMMV.
