MIGHT knock down some of our severe drought level starting Monday night. Forecasting rainy weather for over a week. I'll take it all. It's nasty dry here. 70 and windy today doesn't help. Got the Harley out and went for a nice ride. Wind wasn't too bad unless I met a semi. Then it was hold on! Still don't plan on a garden besides the asparagus patch. Not much point just for me. I'll plant a bunch of flowers again where the wife did along the house.

Planted a Bosc Pear tree this morning. Wife's been bugging me to plant on for the last couple of years.

I went out to cut raspberry canes today. All 3 bee hives have survived! All the artichokes survived too!

Boxes are normally frozen this time of year but I can stick my fingers deep in the boxes. I may plant peas soon. Maybe a lettuce box start.

Potatoes are in. 24 total planted, a mix of russet and Yukon gold. Also cleaned up and spread pine straw around the beds. And demo'd the pond that we've never really liked since we moved in here. I think strawberries are going to go there.

Just ordered $400 worth of seeds and other items from one company. Warm today but still too early and cold for plants.
My local store I usually buy plants from burnt down the other night. Don't know if they saved the greenhouses or not?
So I have to start my seeds to be on the safe side this year.

Dang. I know that store. That’s sad.
