It's that time of year again. This is my year for a elk tag guys. Goodluck everyone!

I'm in for elk with 21 points. Pronghorn I think I'm around 17 points.

Results are starting to be released. Looks like I finally pulled my Oklahoma elk tag! Not sure if it's a cow tag or either sex yet waiting on the email. I'm still in disbelief.

1020 is on my list so there's a chance. If memory serves didn't we both draw Cimarron pronghorn the same year?

The part I’m happy about is I can still hunt Ft. Sill with my other tag.

So the date could be either my 1st or 3rd choice. Probably the 3rd choice 1st season cow hunt if I was a betting man. Either way I'm hunting elk in my home state and pumped. Wife drew a deer tag also looks like youth haven't run yet.

Haven't received any official email. But successfull applicants points have zeroed and @Lostinthewoods loophole showed me the tags we drew.

The cow tag as expected. Boy drew 1st choice kiamichi park deer hunt in my home area. Wife drew Washita NWR.

Somewhere around 10-11 deer points.

No deer or elk for me in Oklahoma. Might try for a cow next winter. Congrads to you guys that drew permits.

I drew and took a cow in the last February hunt this past season. Let me know if you have any questions happy to share my experience. This is a pic we took after I shot my cow the first evening.

I was unable to put in for the draw, but my co-worker & now best buddy drew a Cow tag (he had 8pts)
He has invited me to tag along for my first hunt.
I can still hunt spike elk, but odds are slim for seeing one. I have all my fingers, toes & everything else that can
cross, crossed & then some.
I am hoping everything falls into place this year.

I hinted in the Wichita Mtns in the 90s and its some rugged country and can be very slick if there is any ice/snow on the ground. I hunted along Gerrrinmo Ridge. Dont turn dont free help if there are any young packers available. Best of luck and you guys enjoy your hunt.
