Working on sweating the horns off. Not ready yet, back in the bag they go.


Didn't get a pic of fleshing the sheep hide, but fleshed my dads goat hide today. I like the pressure washer method.

Yeah I'm really enjoying it. All part of the experience. Going to have a guy beetle it, then I'll do the decreasing and whitening.

Whitened and sealed. Unfortunately the peroxide was a bit strong, or I left it in for a little long, as the bone is a little flakey in spots.

Really nice work; euro mount rams are the best as you can really appreciate the heft of the horns. Did you end up using the 9.3 x 62?

Looks like I forgot to mention that bit of info. I ended up using my .270 this time.
