Please do as I’d never have guessed bears to be hanging out in 4’ of snow when it’s nice and green about 1000 ft lower. Sounds cool though

Wading through 6’ of snow while getting eaten alive by mosquitoes has been a unique experience for me, for sure.Please do as I’d never have guessed bears to be hanging out in 4’ of snow when it’s nice and green about 1000 ft lower. Sounds cool though

Sorry for the cropped head - yearling bull.
Took a good spill and knocked my rifle pretty hard. Test shot to make sure I’m still on target.

Drove through the yukon to haines for ferry ride to petersburg. Counted five grizzlies and one black bear. The black bear tried to crawl into the back of the truck when stopped to get out for good pict. Messed that picture up hitting the wrong button. Got this guy around 40 yards. Had the bed of the truck between me and him and the drivers door open. He spun after this picture and had pinned his ears back I

I’ve got a bear very similar to that first picture that I’m getting on trail camera lately. Depending on the way the sun hits it, he/she can look really blonde.
Saw it this weekend in person. Cell phone picture with no magnification.
Trail camera pictures where it looks really blonde. Hoping that in 4 or 5 years it would be a really neat bear. I think it is 3 years old based on previous trail camera pictures.
Did draw the fall bear tag so hoping to find this guy in September and find out how big he really is.

Got back from a trip a few days ago, seemed slower than most years. In 8 days saw one nice boar (shooter couldn’t get on him in time) and a young sow, usually see around 5-7 bears. You are welcome Montanans for not shooting your sow, not all NRs are out there targeting boo-boo! 
I can’t complain too much, got a real nice bear last year.
Brought my oldest (6) along, he had a blast. Averaged about 5 miles a day with lots of glassing, slept 8 nights on the mountain in grizzly country, he’s harder than a lot of grown men I know! Lots of naps and snacks though…
