Likely true. I think Nebraska is having buyers remorse on Rhule as well.

For a program like PSU who is trying to beat the best I just don't see why you hire someone who never even won a conference championship at ISU and biggest accomplishment is barely winning the pop tart bowl and think that is someone who is going to knock off Oregon or tOSU.

It doesn't even look like he ever won a conference championship in his career. Just west division champs in the G-5 a couple of time. Yikes.

Iowa State didn't really get better, the Big 12 just got worse as the good programs left. That made ISU look better than they really were, which is why they got exposed in bowl games regularly.

Campbell has been trying to get out for years going back to USC, Notre Dame, etc and they all passed on him. I think PSU was likely down the list pretty far for him to get this job.

You never know. I personally think he is good at doing more with less and ISU was his ideal situation. This fanbase will expect more than he has ever dealt with and he will have to do things he has never done in his career just to keep his job.

The resume seems to be lacking IMO when you compare it to the people he is up against.

I know the MAC is tough and all but 2 west divisions championships are really not that impressive.

11-1 BYU has proven that there isn't any point in giving them a CFP spot. Two losses to Texas Tech will make them 11-2.

One loss 29-7 and this one is currently 34-7 with just over 4 minutes left. I've seen enough. How about you?

I don’t know man, the records and rankings seem to go out the door in the SEC Championship- especially with these two teams.

Personally, I have more faith in Ohio State winning in a blowout than Georgia. But we’re about to find out, fun schedule of games.
