Took all 3 boys on night 2. It was pretty loud in our location. Still not many doves around. Not sure if I’m in the wrong spots or if there aren’t many around. Either way we had a good time.

Wasn't hunting but I found 2 dead doves under one of my trees today. No clue what happened. I had already pitched them when I wondered about West Nile virus.

Got 8 opening night, 2 of which were Eurasian Doves. It was a beautiful night for hunting and a great start to the fall season.

I don't always miss a dove, but when I do I miss with all three shots. So I got an over/under and improved my shooting by a third.

3 yesterday morning before work called me in early. Slipped out the office early this evening and at 11 currently.

This was my spot in Va. We hammered them.

I had no desire to shoot doves this season and didn’t go out. However, yesterday I took Scoter for a walk and she heard distant shots and got all excited.
So this morning I took her out for sunrise. Real slow, missed my first 2 shots but connected on my third.

With just the one bird we went home and I tossed it in the stew pot cooking javelina.

Scoter won’t stop crying to go back out.
