2020 Montana spring bear hunt

Hello all,

First time poster, long time follower.

I am looking at doing a spring bear hunt in region 1 up in northwest Montana. I was thinking towards the middle / end of May. I live about 8 hours away on the far east side of the state. Unfortunately my scouting is limited. I planned on having truck based camp and then lots of hiking / glassing.

Does anyone have any information that may be helpful to me? Also, I do not have any hunting partners for this trip. If there is anyone that would be interested let me know.

Do a quick search on spring bear tactics there are quite a few...look for green at snowline. Sit and glass and then glass some more...also don't forget to glass.

Thank you! I have been hiking with a rifle for the last few years and I haven't had much luck for bears. I spent a great deal of time in Central Montana hunting. .or rather, hiking the Snowies with no luck.
