2018 first time archery elk hunt CO Unit 31

Hey everyone! I'm going to do my first elk hunt next fall! I've been doing a fair amount of online scouting and I've narrowed down my search to the southern part of unit 31 around some of the burn areas. I will be hunting with 2 other people all first timers! We will be setting up base camp and going out from there. Just curious about people's thoughts on the unit for a first time elk Hunter.

I hunted 31 this year, I had a first rifle bull tag. You will be up there a little earlier than I was but I might be able to provide some insight. What areas specifically are you looking at if you don't mind me asking. Feel free to PM me as well.
