I was fortunate to take my first archery bull on Sunday morning in a Gen area of Wyoming. He was very low, on a small piece of State land that borders NF land. I saw him at 7:00 am and by 7:30 he was down. I got as close as I could in an aspen patch until the trees ran out. At this point he had moved onto NF. I was able to pull him across 600 yds of open sage and grass with a few cow calls. He must have been ready to go because he came in on a trot. 30 yds shot, he went 50 feet and tipped over. Complete pass through.

My wife hauled quarters back to camp while I cut on the bull. She darn near had it done by the time I got my first load packed up. All in all, it was a great start to my hunting season.
