Super! Great looking country to spend some time in. I really need to make a try for a Columbia blacktail some year.

The area we were hunting is more a blacktail/mule deer hybrid. There's a lot more of the mule deer side up there than anything. You have to be west of Interstate 5 in California to be considered a true blacktail by most.

We caught a lot of nice trout out of that lake on this trip. That area was a doe magnet. We didn't see one buck in that area the whole trip. Very surprising based on what the area looked like.
