Randy hope your recovering. I was supposed to bring my son to Spokane today for his pokes and prodding but we both caught a stomach bug and are home on the couch.

Hey Rocky Dog, I applaud you for devoting time to the legislative BS while having family issues at the same time. Hell, it may be second nature to you, but I have single buddies without a care in the world that are hunting/fishing maniacs that are barely aware of their own noses much less a legislative session that threatens the stuff they love....

Maybe you can answer a question somebody else asked. Are there many people that die because they have no way to get care?

There are people who forgo care due to lack of ability to pay. Whether it is not taking the prescribed amount of drugs, not taking care of their diabetes, neglecting there oral health, avoiding getting wellness checks etc, there are obviously people who die from a lack of ability to pay for needed medical services.

I'm talking more along the lines of serious medical issues, the really expensive stuff. That no one can afford out of pocket.

I have people who have gone onto the the new MAC plan that came about under PPACA who were refused surgery to correct serious health issues due to no coverage/inability to pay. Now if they enter through the ER they will have their symptoms treated but not actually recieve the care they need to properly address their condition.

Docs and Hospitals are becoming much tougher on collections, ability to pay and coverage than they used to be. Most folks will figure out a way to get coverage but it is often at a very steep price.
