Well, it was twelve years ago that I got let go from a drafting job and no one had a position open for a man without a college degree, but 18 years of experience. So I bought a drafting table and other supplies and rented a 300 sf. office and started Geological Drafting Consultants. My first month I think I grossed around $300! It slowly grew until I bought a CAD system, hired a good draftsman, that had lost his job in the same manner as I had. We now have state of the art equipment and 3 part time draftsmen to help us keep up with more work than you can shake a stick at. Now, if I could find a way to open a satilite office in the west I would have it made!
