I guess what I'm saying is I like expanding bullets that don't fragment but still cause a good wound channel. If that makes sense.- coleL

Mule deer opportunity?
It's a shame that many states are beginning to restrict trapping more and more. If some of them weren't so restrictive it would tremendously help deer populations. -
Minimum Elk Caliber. what do you think it is.
The smallest I would use is a 6.5 creed. -

I personally am not a huge fan of ELD-X. I don't have a 6.5, but I've been using the 150 grain in a 7mm-08 and haven't had great performance. I had to shoot a cow elk 4 times at 80 yards because they kept fragmenting. Super bloodshot meat as well.- coleL

Mule deer opportunity?
Here in Utah we had an intense winter a few years ago that winterkilled a lot of deer. There has been a decreased amount of tags since then, but the amount is slowly coming up. They still aren't doing any doe tags unfortunately and some units could really benefit from issuing some out. -
