    Unit 30 NM Deer Results

Sort of the same thing except the land has more elevation change. You can hunt alpine areas or take it down to the desert floor. There’s deer throughout. Mountains seem to have more life though.

    Unit 30 NM Deer Results

There are LOTS of 2 tracks that weave throughout the unit, and I’d see lots of traffic throughout the day down them. I was on foot as far as I could get away from the trails and would see everything except what I was hunting.

    Unit 30 NM Deer Results

Probably won’t be too hard then. They were hiding during rifle. I’d just find a secluded spot and get as far away from everyone as possible.

    Unit 30 NM Deer Results

If the odds of pulling an elk tag weren’t so high I’d try for one in 30. I saw probably 5 to 6 bulls within bow striking distant.

    Barbary Unit 34

I’m planning on going to the OTC unit of 34 for a quick weekend trip Dec 4th and 5th. My main hunting buddy is always flaking out on me and my wife is familiar with how rugged and dangerous that hunt can be and HATES when I go out there alone. Anyone want to meet up out there, that weekend...

    Unit 30 NM Deer Results

They bucks have a calendar and can tell when it’s go time. I’m sure they’re out there just in their hiding spots. I probably won’t try to draw there next time unless someone talks me into it. I saw a cow elk in the flats near rattlesnake springs. Thought it was wild to see an elk walking in the...

    Unit 30 NM Deer Results

Could be a possibility. Truth be told I’m relatively new to hunting, and once I’d start my day walking in the dark I’d smell this unique skunk/piss/homeless guy smell all around me. Turns out I was almost surrounded by elk and it was them!

    Unit 30 NM Deer Results

I was in the northern section inside the National forest boundary. I’d push over as many hills as you could as far in away from the roads and people as you could get. The deer were grey already and hard to spot. Let us know how you do.

    Unit 30 NM Deer Results

Went solo on first rifle in NM Unit 30. Did not fill my tag. I saw every animal except for a buck. Plenty of does, fawn , and a ton of elk surprisingly. They must have a good hiding spot because I glassed until my eyebrows hurt.

    Hunters with Alergies

Want to get my son started hunting. The guy is hell on the binos and can pick up anything that moves, but suffers from killer allergies and won’t stop sneezing every 5 seconds. Any tips for getting around this?

NM 55/54, Colin Neblett Success Story

This is good info. My wife and I are strong hikers and plan to make frequent camping trips up there before it’s go time. I have an idea of where I’d liked to hunt just need to continue our training and scouting and I think we can seal the deal come hunting season. Thanks for the info.

NM Unit 54/55 Colin Neblett WMA info

I called game and fish and they confirmed that you can now hunt both north and south Colin Neblett on the same tag. They even suggested where to start because they’re wasn’t really anyway into the area other than hiking.

NM Unit 54/55 Colin Neblett WMA info

Hi, my wife pulled a bull elk tag for first rifle in Colin Neblett 55/54 in New Mexico. I had a couple of questions. First, the tag doesn’t specify if we need to hunt one or the other between 54 and 55, so I assume we can hunt both, is that correct? Any advice for that area is greatly...
