    My dad and I were lucky enough to draw out for Muzzleloader in unit 34, Oct 16-24. I have been there before turkey hunting so am semi-familiar with the area. Can anyone tell me if we are better off spending our time South near West Side road in the thick areas, or North near the reservation?

    In a post I just ready, you mentioned sharing some of your knowledge on unit 34 sheep hunts…i’m headed there late October and was hoping you could share some info in how to get around the area, navigate to the correct locations…? Any help is appreciated.

    We plan on posting setting up camp in between Long Ridge and Hershberger Peak and work those folds between the two. I’ve been told the sheep like cholla cactus…no sure at what elevation they grow, but that’s something we’ll be looking for. That’s really about all we have. The weather will dictate our plan a bit, but trying to put our eyes on as much ground as possible.
