You didn't have to sign for them? Mine from Capitol Armory was UPS and required a signature - I would assume they'd require a signature for USPS too...
USPS delivered to the FFL, it's UPS that's giving him the run around. Granted, with USPS you wouldn't even have a delivery window, but it's hard to argue the delivery window is doing much good in his case.
My step-sister bought a home twice the size of mine on an acre in Roscoe for well under what an undeveloped acre goes for around here. Her property taxes are more than the monthly principle + interest, but she's still paying half what I am each month. It was a fun/sad walk through the...
I took his original statement as spray foam under the slab - is that what you’re talking about, rather than using foam board? Never heard of that but can’t think of a good reason it wouldn’t work…
On mine (the Ascent Mountain Lite), the whole housing moves when you dial, so the distance between pins is fixed and the sight tape shows the short and long distance (stock pic below). With actual arrow ballistics, the distance between pins would be increasing slightly as you get further out...
Genuine question - does losing retirees actually hurt the economy? They're a bigger strain on healthcare and other services and likely contribute less to the tax base, and them moving frees up housing for younger folks. Not trying to rag on retirees, and obviously if people feel forced to move...
My current sight is a 3-pin Black Gold slider, and I think a 4-pin slider would be the ticket. Something like 30, 40, 50, 60 for all realistic hunting scenarios (at least as far as I’m comfortable shooting at game) but having the option to dial for stretching out to 100 practicing. I plan to...
As much as the money being spent is or isn't an issue, the actual supply of patriot missiles gets to be a concern the longer this goes on. Does the US want to use our entire stockpile of defensive weapons on this? The US stockpile is estimated at about 1600 and we produce 700 a year. Iran is...
And now that everyone is used to the tariffs included in prices, they get to just leave them be and bump the profit. Other than some grocery prices affected by tariffs, I can't imagine prices on anything are going to actually go down.
Only way you'll see anything from tariff paybacks is in your investment account. Tricklin' down to the haves while the have-nots keep taking it on the chin.
I was thinking that this morning. That or an appointed admin position and they couldn't afford an empty senate seat in the interim, but I think yours might be more likely.
I have the Inferno as well. The radiator bypass thermostat is a must to help the machine get up to temp and start producing heat faster. But Chingon is right, it's enough to cut the cold but not enough to really get warm and the soft cab (at least the one I have) has a gap up the whole...
Daines is as in-the-know as anyone, I feel like this has to be calculated. Like either he thinks an unknown R will do better than someone fully tied to the Washington mess, or he knows how many tight races there are going to be and doesn’t want to dedicate a bunch of money to holding his seat...
Yep I installed a heater and a soft cab enclosure. There are a lot more options for the newer ones (2021+) - I wish I’d known that before buying the early model. I just like the idea of only enclosing the front seats for snow plowing when it’s balls cold out so you’re heating less space.
Definitely easier to have it eat up a lower percentage now without the $200 stamp. When I got mine, my thinking was if I'm going to pay ~25% of the price of a can for a tax stamp, I'm not going to pinch pennies and make sacrifices on weight or performance of the can. On my other rifles, I...
