Just thinking a little more on this, but there are very few reasons why I could think one would tip a taxidermist. I mean, are you expecting just an average (or worse) mount and tipping because it actually looks like the animal you shot? I'm expecting it to look perfect. That's why I'm paying a...
I have never even considered tipping my taxidermist. Why would I? He offers a service at a price. I agree to that service for said price.
Had a crew of roofers working on the house recently. I can only imagine if I had stood there with a stack of 20s as they were leaving.
Do you tip the dude...
This question is as broad as asking which bolt action rifle/cartridge would you choose.
I used to own a lot of levers, but know only have the Marlin 30-30 I got when I was 16 and a 1894 in .38-55 to use in Arkansas' straightwall cartridge deer season.
I've had everything from 22s to 45-70s...
The key here is twist rate. Y'all seem to be hung on on cartridge, and it just doesn't matter than much. Pre range finders, we shot the 257WBY because it was flat out to 400 yds, which we couldn't reliably estimate anyway. Now that's not so much of an issue.
I would much rather have a 250 or...
Yeah, but every generation thinks they've invented something new.
Powder and bullets have come a long way, but case design was hashed out many years ago.
It's OK to own more than one gun though, right? I've got several guns chambered in the same cartridge. How useful is that? If we only cared about what worked, we'd all shoot '06s and that lame .270 would have never seen the light of day. Talking about a shady sales pitch.
IDK. Maybe some of you...
Some of us are just crazy about the .25 bore, and there's no explaining it. I've been shooting the slow twist 40 degree 25 creedmoor for 30 years or so. Most people know it as the 250AI. Same, same. Of course, the 250RCBS improved used the 30 degree shoulder, but it's a lot less common than the...
Low hanging fruit. Multiple red flags, but people are going to give their stuff up regardless of sophistication. Most people would delete the email without even reading it. Much less think they were really being subpoenaed for their goggle records or think they need to give google their log in...
Just wondering the average age in this thread. I've not run bias ply tires on a road vehicle since the 80s.
I prefer a D or E rated tire on my vehicles.
I think the official answer is still yes, but just not yet. It's designed to be reloaded and Federal wants it reloadable, but the dies and process have still not been perfected to roll out to the masses.
It's still a small group of people who would fall for an email initiated scam, regardless of sophistication. While I may follow links from emails, it is from emails I have initiated and not cold notifications. Certainly something for people to be aware of though.
Most people who get scammed fly...
Thanks, I've thought of having a jigsaw puzzle made and glued to a board for my gun room. It was quite a beautiful morning on the mountain above heavy valley fog.
