One thing i would add, as an easterner who went elk hunting, the term raghorn shouldnt stop you. I shot a 5x4 in ID on a guided bowhunt, yup a raghorn. Except when it strolled in, i shot and ehen i walked up to it, MASSIVE critter
I primarily fish for trout usually rivers, some lakes. I mostly use a 9 foot leader, with no tippet. Once changing flies (or breakoffs) gets me down to 7 to 8 feet, i tie on about 3 feet of tippet. Always try to do it BEFORE the taper on the leader
