    Ammo and the 2021 season

Love my 7STW, and it loves heavy/love bullets. What's your overall length on the 140 TTSX?

    Ammo and the 2021 season

I reload as well, but powder and primers are in short supply as well, and bullet selection is hit or miss. Goood luck.

    Ammo and the 2021 season

So just for giggles, I went on to Sportsman's Warehouse site this morning and search rifle ammo, and selected, "Exclude out of stock". One item came up, 416 Weatherby ammo. I know, for me, last year I switch between 3 different rifles prepping for my deer tag here in Colorado. I switch because...

    New Wyoming hunter

Welcome. I lived in Cheyenne for 4 years. Waterfowl hunting will be tough. But pronghorn and mulies can be found just out side( sometime inside) the city limits. Elk can also be easy to find with short drives. Good luck.

Kodiak tent, is it worth it?

Quick update, the kodiak was alot warmer and way easier the set up at muzzy camp. Not the coldest hunt, but a noticeable difference over my old Cabelas nylon dome tent. And higher ceilings, much appreciated.

Kodiak tent, is it worth it?

Thanks everyone for the input. I was 98% sure on buying one, but hearing actual people/hunters say its worth it pushed me over the edge.

Kodiak tent, is it worth it?

It would most likely be my brother, wife, or son. Thanks.

Kodiak tent, is it worth it?

Yeah, I have woked up in a cold tent before because of 1 lb bottles. Not fun.

Kodiak tent, is it worth it?

Thanks for all the input and please keep it coming. I'm leaning towards a 10x10 for 1-2 people with a buddy heater, vented, at first. Sept muzzleloader camp is a group effort for me. So we have a large 12x20 kitchen tent to cook, eat, and general hang out. And we butcher our elk there too...

Kodiak tent, is it worth it?

I usually put down old, garage sale blankets. Easy clean up and keeps the cold from coming through the floor.

Kodiak tent, is it worth it?

I'm thinking of a last minute tent upgrade from a Cabelas 6-man geodome nylon tent to a Kodiak 6-man canvas flex bow tent. Anyone with firsthand experience with the Kodiak think they are worth it? Looking to use it mid-Sept, in Colorado at 8000ft. Overnight temps can drop to 20s or lower.

    Colorado Copper Muzzleloader Bullets

Shannerdrake, what kind of velocities are you pushing the 270 copper BOR locks? These seem to group the best out of my Encore but a little concerned about on game performance. I shot a muley, quartering away, and was not impressed with penetration or opening of the BOR lock copper. Might have...

    CO legal muzzy projectiles

I used a 270 Federal B.O.R. Lock a few years ago on a muley and wasn't excited about the performance on the animal, not great penetration or opening, it was a tough quartering away angle. What are you 270 copper B.O.R Lock fans getting for muzzle velocity? I got a new barrel on my Encore and...

    6.5x284, hhmmm?

Wow, thanks for all the input. As much as I would love to buy a 6.5x284, I simply don't have time to reload, safely, and by myself right now. My 7 yo is in my side pocket all the time and wants to help with everything. I already had some case-head separation on a few 280s S. Results of his help...

    6.5x284, hhmmm?

Looking at a 6.5x284. Any thoughts on this cartridge? How hard is it to find factory or specialty ammo? I can hand load, but my 6 yo likes to help, not the best combo. Thanks.
