Montana Fentanyl and Meth. Mexican Drug Cartel Focus.

That’s assuming a timely administration of narcan. The one fentanyl OD I’ve seen in the hospital, they were found down for an unknown length of time and suffered an anoxic brain injury. Can’t undo that with a dose of narcan.

Montana Fentanyl and Meth. Mexican Drug Cartel Focus.

ICU nurse here. The vast majority of my job is managing the complications of alcohol use. Whether that’s an 18 year old that got hit by a drunk driver, or a 50 year old with end-stage liver disease that’s acutely withdrawing. I have dealt with one fentanyl overdose in 5 years of ICU nursing...

    Montana Tag Issue

Just got to my special draw unit but just discovered I left my paper tag at home. Nearest FWP office is an hour away. Do you think they would print a replacement? No info on their website.

    Pot and Guns?

This is an outdated line of thought; addiction is a disease just like coronary artery disease, heart failure, cancer, and diabetes. Some of these chronic conditions are "started by choice," or exacerbated by lifestyle choices, but genetics play a far more important role. I don't feel the need to...

    Attn: Waterfowl fanatics!

I’ve never understood camo for duck hunting but I’m probably in the minority here. If you’re in a blind why do you need camo. Or if camo works then why do you need a blind. Don’t mind me, just being contrarian.

    Rinella article.. CUT AND PASTED

I think the hunting community will talk more and more about self-imposed limits in the future. What is legal is not always what’s best for the resource. I often feel this way when I’m having a great day fly fishing. “Well I’ve already caught ten fish, do I really need to catch ten more?”...

Things that are just Sins with wild game meat.

In my book, deboning is a sin. First, bones are food. You can make excellent stock and eat the marrow too. Also much prefer to hang meat on the bone in cold storage for a week or so before butchering. This allows the meat to relax and become more tender.

    Your backcountry training regimen

My rifle season elk day pack with my gun is around 12 pounds, which I would consider not much weight. 12 pounds compared to people training with a 60 pound pack is barely any weight at all. If you’re mountains fit, carrying a 12-20 pound pack all day is no big deal. My approach to staying fit...

    Your backcountry training regimen

99.9% of your elk hunt will be spent hiking without weight. So do exactly that at least three times a week. 4-8 hours each time with no less than 1,000 feet of vertical gain. Go for long hikes at low effort. Then start including short but high intensity uphill sessions during your hikes. That's...
