    Check with a local game warden, it it isn't against the law go for it. As much as hunters may not like it, we do not own the woods during the rut. If legal see if you can call an elk in and get a great photo. I would say just don't intentionally interfere with a hunter who is working an elk.

    Lever Action for Pronghorn

    I got my browning 71 to late last year to feel comfortable hunting with it. I plan on using it across the board next fall. Mule deer, antelope and cow elk. I can't give up archery bull elk.

    Trekking Pole Recommendations for after the harvest?

    I have tried both and cork is the way to go, especially in warm weather when you are not wearing gloves. It might not matter as much in cold weather.

    My vote is for Meateater. He doesn't seem to have the attitude that some of the other hosts of the big shows do. He just seems like a guy that enjoys being outdoors.

    I know, honestly was only hoping for elk and that's why I put in for a long shot for deer. It is a great problem to have, but it will be alot of work ahead of me, learning the units. The deer and elk rifle season are the same dates. Going to try and close out on elk in the 2 week archery...

    New to the Forum. Moved to WY about a year and a half ago. Long enough to have gotten in on this years resident draw. Drew Unit 41-1 Elk, 34-1 deer and 75-1 Antelope, so a very busy fall for me. So far WY has been great, and really looking forward to my first season as a resident.
