"Compensatory Reproduction" in Coyotes, why killing them equals more coyotes and less deer

there’s a level of bloodthirstiness for coyotes that isn’t compatible with respect. We are all hunters here, obviously we all know we can kill something and still respect it and revere it, but I don’t think you’ll find a lot of respect for coyotes in the sporting world, as evidenced by people...

"Compensatory Reproduction" in Coyotes, why killing them equals more coyotes and less deer

Well right on. I’m glad to hear people think they’re a cool critter despite the fact it’s a hobby to kill them in every way imaginable in western states.

Anybody have experience with the vortex strike eagle 3x18x44 FFP?

Yes you def could argue that and you wouldn’t be wrong either, but in my opinion Vortex is much more about the lifestyle and less about quality optics than the brands you mentioned. But I’m just a dude on the internet so really I’m not expert but I would defer our very own expert @schmalts

"Compensatory Reproduction" in Coyotes, why killing them equals more coyotes and less deer

Kind of. Those all could be eradicated if we wanted to. The goal of the federal government was to kill all coyotes and couldn’t do it. There’s a symbolism there that I think is lost on most people.

"Compensatory Reproduction" in Coyotes, why killing them equals more coyotes and less deer

I just think it’s kind of tasty there still some critters or parts of Mother Nature out there that mankind can’t bring to heel.

"Compensatory Reproduction" in Coyotes, why killing them equals more coyotes and less deer

My great grand pappy shot coyotes. my grand pappy shot coyotes. My pappy shot coyotes. But there are still lots of coyotes. It’s kind of funny how badly the coyotes beat all of them.

Anybody have experience with the vortex strike eagle 3x18x44 FFP?

What good is a discount, great customer service, and a warranty when your stuff breaks on a mountain? I had two $1k Vortex scopes defective out the of the box. There's simply no way I could trust a Vortex on a hunting rifle, especially chinesium like the strike eagle line. If someone wanted...

    NODAK things to do

That’s exactly why I chose to go to UMC, (they also had a natural resources program) I made a life altering decision to go to college there because the bird hunting was good and didn’t even apply to other schools. During my first drive up there, all I could think was “I hope the hunting is...

    NODAK things to do

My buddy got off the freeway to look at in December around 11pm. He had just seen it a week before. When he stopped the car and told me I should get out and walk up to it. I told him to get back on the freeway. I lived in Crookston for two years. I don’t think I ever really wanna go back...

Any boxing fight fans here or others who have boxed themselves such as I have?

I did a lot of boxing in the gym when I did MMA stuff back in the day. I sucked, and my reach sucked. Never boxed anyone famous obviously. Trained with some people who kinda made in MMA/UFC. I was born a leg grabber.

    Boundary waters under attack

If it really isn’t, why is liquidating public land and mining in the BWCA watershed essentially part of the Republican Party platform? Why is it only republicans like Mike Lee pushing for it? Pete Stauber is also R. Maybe someone can explain this to me. Seems pretty clear to me on this topic...

Minnesota Shotgun Zone going to Rifle

Yeah there wasn’t even space to roll cast in a lot of spots. I’d like to give it another shot this spring if I have time to get up there.

Were you at the NAPF booth at Pheasant Fest? I think we might have talked for a quick minute there. Either way, thanks for doing what you do for pronghorn.

Minnesota Shotgun Zone going to Rifle

Black Hoof, have heard about the Nemadji tho. Both I believe both have some of the further inland steelhead runs. Not a lot of people but also not a lot of fish. Beautiful part of the world tho. Actually, I’m pretty sure the Black Hoof mouths somewhere in the Nemadji system

Minnesota Shotgun Zone going to Rifle

I fished a little bit south of Wrenshall once for steelhead. I need to make it up to that part of the state more often. Back to thread topic, this really won’t have an effect on me. I’ve never killed a deer with a gun further than 60 yards away in Minnesota. In the open areas of then state...

    When SHTF

Man the part about the Judge saying war always being on earth and it was just waiting for man to come along to perfect. I don’t think I’ve ever read such a stark and blunt but also well articulated description of human beings penchant for violence. I mean, from the time the first cells started...
