    Unit 61 Colorado update

The last guy I heard of buying one was $6k for a voucher. No private access and no guide. Didn't know the guy personally though and there may be cheaper ones out there.

Bull or cow tag for the wife? Are you local? We could share info if one of us tags out first, if you're interested.

Colorado GMU 1 4th rifle Cow??

I'll definitely put an update of what I see. Hopefully my dad can kill his cow quickly and I can get up there for the second weekend of 3rd rifle to come up with some kind of plan!

Colorado GMU 1 4th rifle Cow??

I know this is one of "those" threads but I've helped several guys on this site and others about my neighborhood so I figured it was worth asking. Never been to the unit but saw it pop up on the leftovers and couldn't help myself since I ate my archery tag again, lol. I plan on taking a trip up...

Bulls, hell holes, and empty Camelbaks

Nice bull, great write up! I have a 700 BDL that looks almost identical to yours, down to the sling! What stock is that on yours? I got mine second hand and supposedly was built by a guy in Nor Cal, but I've always wondered what stock it was.

I know what you're talking about but I've never seen them in person. I need to get some, I'm sure they'd love that.

Good job dad and daughter! My son and wife liked shooting clays in holders or just stuck in a bush. It's reactive and they know right away that they hit it, and it's smaller than the vitals on anything so if they can consistently break clays at whatever yardage, you know they're doing pretty good.

    Nailed ‘em

Very cool! Time runs out quick when you finally realize the clock is ticking... My dad had open heart surgery 2 days ago and I was talking to him yesterday, trying to figure out if we can do a 3rd rifle deer hunt maybe. He was asking about cost and I told him "Turns out they're free if you just...

What else have we been wrong about forever?

A buddy told me a story of some out of staters that brought in their "cow elk" to the processor and were so proud of themselves... only it was a llama they shot off of a ranch they didn't have permission to be on...

AR 15 and 10 type rifles

The second amendment has literally nothing to do with hunting, those are separate arguments. The second amendment was written to protect the citizen's right to own "weapons of war" in order to protect ourselves from a government that goes too far...again. If we give that up, we've already lost.

    Garmin 64st

I prefer it on my GPS while hunting, it's just what I'm used to though and my phone is usually put away. I do have it on my phone as well and do like to look at that while exploring or just want to look at something real quick. The screen and interface is better on the phone, but I don't want do...

    Odd Terminology

The ones that bother me the most are the stupid abbreviations for everything... Shotty, Remmy, Leupy, snubbie, etc... bugs the crap out of me for some reason.

Try mashed potatoes! Just cube them, throw in some butter and whatever else you like, mash them when done and squeeze out. You're welcome!
