    Hard hunting without our buddy this season. I finally got down 2 grouse. It's been the other half's year to get the grouse. The one day we went out chukar hunting that was not pretty. The birds were wild and very few of them.

    That's what you get for going camping especially this year. I picked 15 cucumbers today. I'm expecting to see a bear down here in the valley. My carrots got picked and put away in storage yesterday.

    Dug and stored my carrots too, this morning. Down to leaf lettuce and 3 crazy cucumbers and they are still producing like crazy.

    Pulled the last 3 tomato plants. They just weren't doing much other than being there. Picked the bigger tomatoes off and put them in a box to ripen. I think the nights were just too cold and they stalled out. So I'm down to lettuce and the 3 crazy cucumber plants. I picked 22 cucumbers...

    We got a toad strangler rain last night. Glad it didn't last a hour or two or we'd of lost more roads. We got .24 precipitation in 20 minutes or so. Everything is still damp this afternoon.

    In 2 days of rain we got .69 of rain. It went in the ground not much run off so far we've found. That will help the area and critters to get this kind of rain.

    More rain during the night. A lot of cloud to cloud lightning. A lot of the flow went into Montana. When I measure later this morning I will let the world know.;) Down on the desert they got a lot of hail turning the roads white making it look like it snowed.

    Got .28 rain this morning. Started 0400 with lightning then the rain finally came. Getting ready for another cell to move through. Might have another couple days of a chance at rain.

    Send the monsoons to Idaho. We need it real bad. We all are waiting for some nimrod to start a late fire. We need 10-20 feet of snow in the mountains and at least 3-4 feet here in the valley. Have a good season hank4elk.

    Pulled my watermelon a few days ago. Cantaloupe is close to being all pulled up. Have quite a few on the plant but don't think they'll get to ripen. Cold temps coming by weekend.     A guy from Boise valley comes up in August and first of Sept with a big load of veggies and fruit. Yesterday was more fruit and veggie day. I ended up buying a box of Roma's and a box of apples.
