All of you! That is so unfair showing pictures 😭! I'm getting some gherkins. Armenians are just now starting to put runners out. Beans are blooming. Found one small cantaloupe growing. A ton of green tomatoes. The jalapeños are coming on. Green peppers are so so. Acorn squash are growing. I will...
I have a ton of green tomatoes. Bell pepper 1 so far. Seeing jalapeño and jalafuegos(sp?) are coming on. Had aphids show up on the peppers. Went to war on them. I think I got them stopped. Last year they got so bad I pulled all the peppers couldn't get them down. I moved the peppers out of that...
No apples, plums or apricots and choke cherries this year. Even the wild choke cherries didn't have much on them when we sailed by them that I could see.
Sorry Sask Hunter. My biggest worry is summer storms. The 2.47 inches of rain last week sure helped everything here. We get so much wind here can't grown peppers or tomatoes outside. Well, most anything really doesn't like the wind.
In their own way everyone is right. But no one is talking about what a perfect storm that day was. Very high winds, low humidity heavy very dry fuels. It will be interesting to see what they think happened.
Was in wild land fire for 40 years. I was on a lookout the year the guys got burned over...
Well, Brittan Chuckarman unless you wait too long and someone else snags it or the forests are closed due to closures or fires.
But a lot of blow down all over Idaho this year. Just wish people would learn how to clear roads and cut the trees back off of the edge of roads and trails.
Went and got another load of lodge pole this morning. You could see your breath first thing at 8500 feet. So afraid once fire season really gets going it'll be over for a while cutting firewood and even riding UTV's in the forest.
Found a green pepper! Mountain Fresh tomatoes are starting to put on. The Amish paste are very slow to start putting fruit on. The heat last few days has kick started the garden. Potatoes are getting ready to bloom. Planted Huckleberry potatoes low in starch sugars for diabetic friendly (if...
squirrel is right. If everyone just took a little time every time they are in the back country trails would open fairly fast. We've cut open a few miles of road and trail already this season. Carry a chainsaw and a katan silky saw all the time. Cleared out one road got 2 cords of wood in 175...
sigpros, get in your vehicle and drive to Wyoming. It's the only true way for you to figure it out. Take several trips to different areas and different seasons. What is good for one person probably won't be good for you.
Actually trout fishing and eating sucks. Terrible eating fish and they...
RH is 18% right now. 80* out at 1310. We usually run in the teens for RH in the summer. It hits 30% and it feels muggy around here. Everywhere it feels like the moisture is being sucked out of your skin and the grass is already brown and crunchy here.
It's unreal the amount of big fires already happening. Those usually don't start until the end of June first of July here. Don't make your hunting plans in cement this year. Dry lightning type storms starting tomorrow in Idaho. Not looking forward to it. I'm just thankful I'm out of that type...
Success! So far I've gotten 2 Mexican Sour cucumbers with the hand pollination. Even got the acorn squash hand pollinated and have about 5 growing now.
brymoore, I know you are a lot lower in elevation than we are. But look at Johnny's seeds and buy seed that matures in 60 days or less. We have about 60 days or so here. It's the only way I can grow most veggies. My corn is very spotty too.
Crispi but nothing under $200 anymore. Colorado II flex2.
I have a pair of Lowa's and I wouldn't walk out of the yard with them! They are a good garden light work hiker for me. Everyone is different. Buy once cry once.
