Unit 15 is awesome great unit plenty Of land to hunt drew Unit15 September 11-18! Last year drew 15 19-24 tagged out a 5x5 in 2011 I drew the first hunt no good you shouldn't have a problem filling your tag. No road hunt! There is a lot of that down there.. Wife drew 55 MB muddy tag Oct 4-8- bonehead193

Well 52 there are Elk everywere! I hunt near forest road 80, now this forest road whines all the way from highway 60 to highway 285.. but if you come off of highway 60 on to forest road 80 headed north, it's ruff in spots but you get up the road FR.80 will come to a Y thats FR133 goto google...- bonehead193

I shoot the 50 cal omega! Love it 100g powder,215g powerbelt! You dont need anymore than that.. Killed deer,elk. Hits the paper no problem 250 yards! For new inline shooters you don't have to load like you shooting a cannon,like I said 100g of powder will do the trick.- bonehead193

NM Unit 17 Mule Deer
Its a nice area! Good luck on you hunt,I got a deer hunt sept.1-24 in 15 and then again Jan.1-15 with bow.. But ive got my elk hunt in 52 during sept. Lol so I think ill be hunting deer in Jan.- bonehead193

Look on your maps for mill place,South of magdalina,nice bucks in there! Its a big unit lots of national forest,remember the blm and state land,not many people use it and it there are alot of Hunters thats were I would work! good huntin,- bonehead193

Unit 17 is a nice unit..The Oct.hunt should be good.. If you have a cow call use it,just dont over do it.. Good luck everyone shoot strait!- bonehead193
