I have way way to many backpacks. i got this about 4 years ago and the only time i ever use it is to shoot photos with in the winter time. the rest of the time it just sits around. $250 or make an offer and ill think about it
Just got into Missoula and looking to do a little fishing to pass the time. I have a fly rod with me but that's about its. Looking for any pointers or good spots to start at or what works good down here. Was going to stop by the fly shop tomorrow. But if there are any locals on here that would...
We always carry a sat phone but got the call today about a friend out sheep hunting. he has one of the in reach ones and it saved there ass. scree started sliding on the pass they were crossing and send his brother down hill. his pack kept him from rolling but piled him into the ground a few...
To sum up the start of the story its about as such. Larry had a fan on and didn't hear his alarm and was late getting out the door and still had to make another stop. Bambi had a bit of Jaeger that kept him up and he ended up getting kicked in the face. He didn't get much sleep. It didn't start...
Most my time was on the other end of the state but we did to a bit of fishing up in that area. Greyrocks reservoir and Glendo are 2 places i think we fished as kids on baseball trips. there are also a few reservoirs around cheyenne like pathfinder that we would drink beer at and pretend to fish...
i think kenetreks web site even says 50 miles on flat ground in "normal" brake in.
im a fan of lowa they have become my shoe, hunting boot and ice climbing boot.
White gas stove is probably your best option if your not willing to brake commercial airline rules. In all reality you can't fly in with your transporter with fuel anyways because the same rules apply to them as they do on the big airlines. White gas stove and gas from the plane will get you by...
hell even fred meyer has jet boil fuel. i was at rei today and they were stocked up, same with sportsman. if you can find it your not looking very hard
nope never do.
i just flew to Wyoming and back to ak with fuel in the jet boil and a big back up one both ways with no problem. last month i did it to OR, no problem. So many stores up here that carry it it takes about 5 mins to pick up if you don't wanna pack it.
There are plenty of placed to buy it from SLC to wyo. Just because sportsman's doesn't have it on the web site doesn't mean they don't have it. i buy fuel there all the time. 99% of any sporting goods store will carry fuel.
Wyodeerhunter and i take jet boil fuel with us all the time when we fly. TSA is lazy put it in the middle of your bag and they won't unpack it, works every time. As for bear spray you don't need it. if you really really that worried about it you can get something like the wipserlight stoves and...
Don't listen to Bambi. Always fish with your hunting gear on. It will help out once bear season come around and you won't have to hike as much as they will come to you.
