loads for the 300 Win mag for moose. I suggest the Sierra 180 gameking and for powders just like the 300 WSM, the RL 22 and RL 19 along with H4831 and IMR 4831. If you need more details let me know.
300 Wsm
Yes will let you know, ASAP......since I already use RL 19 my powder of choice will proably be Reloader 19 in the 300 WSM with 165/180 grain bullets.
For most of my life I have used Sierra Gamekings Bullets, I favor the 165 GK in the 308 win and the 200 GK in the 30-06. The 250 GK in my 338 Win also. I have harvested game from coast to coast, and even here in Alaska.
The 308 Win with 165 GK and 43.6 of IMR 4895 is the load I use most often...
Hill Country
Received my rifle back from Hill Country.....excellent job. Free floated barrel, recrown, pillar bedded, glass bedded action, adjusted trigger to 3#. Very clean job.
Their test fire groups were about .75" with 180 TSX Federal.
I have worked up some loads with Reloader 19 and IMR...
hey got your load for your 300 WSM...........
Reloader 19 @ 70.1
IMR 4831 @ 69.0
Fed 210M primers
WW or Fed Brass
Barnes TSX 168 grain
Outstanding loads...........this is my Alaska load ............the IMR load gives a little higher Vel......accuracy less than MOA on both loads......outstanding!
Thanks for reply, after Hill Country gets done with it I thought about having it Deep Freezed ......Gander Mountain does this for $80.00 have you had any rifles done like this?
Roger That........it will proably be another month before I get the rifle back....and will be mid june before I get back to Alaska and to my Fairbanks' Range. Hill Country has a web site and explains exactly what they do during accurizing.
