    1000 lb Bulls

    335 B&C 775lb ??? Last weekend saw a 325 2 year old, a 427 3 year old and a 501 6 year old at a ranch here last weekend. these bulls were out of Stealth. You probably know that bloodline, elk farmer. I bought a 427 set to make a table, weighed right at 30 lb.

    I did see a thousand pound bull in Canada one time on an elk farm. He had been actually weighed., but he was fed every bite he would or could eat and was so fat he could barely walk and certainly couldnt breed. Most bulls bulls will lose over 25% in rut so those 1000 pounders these guys say...

    AAAAAH Summertime!!

    Lurked around here some, but havent posted much lately. Been spending a lot of time on the river bank in a lawn chair with a fishin pole in my hand and runnin a few limb lines. Caught a couple good flatheads last week--15lbs & 23 lbs. Just wasting time waiting for a Vegas trip in a few days...

    Axis doe!

    Howdy Tom, I think the axis are some of the prettiest animals we have in the Hill Country. I have a small herd of about 15 and they are about my favorite of all the animals we have. We have a couple dandy bucks just coming out of velvet. They are real "regal" looking animals.

    Texas fires

    The grass is so tall here and VERY dry , with 30-40mph wind this one covered a mile in about an hour. Very tall flames as it hit the tall oak brush. They got some bull dozers and motor graders ahead of it and made some cuts that finally stopped forward progress. Just west of us about 50 miles...
