    Rechambering a .308

I would take it to the local gun store and trade it for a used 300wsm. There are just too many things that would need to be done to make it work. Most Gunsmiths that I've talked to have about a similar project that I wanted to do to a Remington 700 VLS have told me that they would have to open...

    I think I found a permanant home!

Dang paws, You make me laugh! You're right about an over abundance of rain though. Sure puts a damper on a good cook out! I'm sure the next one will go well. Kiwi, I had to move again and it's taken a while to get settled in. I've been working alot of varying shifts during the same week and...

    Idaho Southeast region

Steve, I got your E-mail and decided to post the reply here instead of an E-mail so others could see too. Tex creek does have the Fort hall Indian Reservation on it. And you cant even get near the place with a gun or they(the tribal police)will jump on you. I wouldn't mess around that area...

    Idaho Southeast region

Steve, I'm from Soda Springs (the crossroads of those zones), I hunt Diamond Creek Zone mostly. Bear River zone is OK, but there are alot of hunters that hunt that area. There are many roads that go through the zone so you wouldn't get any where special where some one wouldn't be. And because...

    308 Powders

This case uses a faster type of powder. Maybe you could try H4895, Hodgdons Varget, H414 (this one needs a Magnum primer) or H380. IMR4895 or IMR4064 show good promise. You shouldn't expect faster than 2600 fps with a 165g bullet or 2500 fps with a 180g bullet. The 308 really shines with 150g...

    No bullies!

Well, I can relate to being on the recieving end of being bullied. In 8th grade I was the shortest guy in the whole school and there was a certain individual and his friend who took it upon themselves to single me out and routienely pick on me. One Day at the end of History class, upon exiting...

A couple of weeks ago, I go laid off of my job due to labor cut-backs. I decided to go hunting and think on it. After a week, (I got a 3x4 muley), I went looking for work and found a transfer to Pocatello. (I used to live in Boise.) The pluses are that I get to live closer to my folks and hunt...
