Could be the bedding, but it looks like it has flush/solid contact at the lug, with no rubbing on the pillar. Cheaper guns shoot better with worse setups, so it might not be the bedding. I'd try some Hornady PH 143gr and if it still doesn't shoot, send it back to Christensen. Don't mention...
This is most likely the case. They are one of the more prolific sellers of exclusive Rugers. I can say with a level of confidence that Ruger doesn't ship a rifle made of items out of its "parts bins." Each unique sku needs a BOM and a set of criteria to be made and listed for their resellers.
The only thing I keep seeing is....SHAKE IT! Shake it like it owes you money, and then shake it like it owes your family money, but also insulted said family. Then shake it again. Other than that, I've heard it's amazing protection for something that's not cerakote.
Brownell's has the Super Lites on sale for $889 right now--even the 7mm-08s. I like the new stock colors that have been offered. I'm not a huge fan of the Kryptek, but it's all that was available when I ordered mine.
Currently my 6.5 is being held hostage by my son, hoping to draw some blood...
Glad it worked out for you--I sank a bunch of money into my M77 for sentimental reasons and sheer stubborness. Added a heavy sporter Shilen 1:10 twist to it and had it bedded, and it's finally shooting consistently. I love the old Rugers (from being imprinted on from an early age, or maybe...
Selling off rifles that I don't shoot regularly to pay for new projects. All guns in excellent condition with possible light, superficial marks from safe and field.
#1 Christensen Ridgeline 300 Win Mag, green/burnt bronze. From limited range visits, it holds 1" or less with the factory 180gr...
As my name suggests, it would be either my 444SS w/ 265gr Hornadys
or my Savage 99EG .308 Win, or maybe my Winchester 71 348, or my Winchester 88 .243 Win...
Choices are good to have for these hypotheticals.
Edited to add, this was my post # 348, so I guess it would be fitting for me to...
I have a Bell and Carlson long action sporter stock (aluminum bedding block) for one-piece bottom metal. Also comes with the plastic shim to fit a 2-piece bottom metal. It's solid black in color, and has been bedded at the tang and recoil lug area.

Do you mean seated too far out? Or are you not as thunk as I drink I am?
I would be calling Christensen ASAP if factory SAAMI-length cartridges were jamming so far into the lands that the bullets are being pulled. Sounds like that chamber is TOO TIGHT.
