    Got 1.5" at my house in ABQ since Tuesday, finally! Odd pattern of rain after midnight and waking up to cloudy wet weather. Supposed to be very wet next week also. Elephant Butte actually rose a few inches but is still at 1.4%. If it keeps raining maybe it'll make it to 2-3%.

    No luck for me on elk, slim chance but was hoping to get lucky. Deer probably had zero chance but TBD.

    I thought we had a pretty good point cushion for antelope in the special draw, but mega point creep got us. I'm just trying to get a hunt with my grandson before I croak, and it's been frustrating the last couple of years.

    I did my job netting this 7-1/2 lb walleye my wife caught while trolling this morning.😀. We were fishing for crappie mostly, I about crappied my pants when I saw how big this fish was, fortunately I the big net in the boat.

    The walleye spot turned on and had a good trip Thursday and today with a friend. Most are in the 18-20" range with multiple 20 inchers Thursday, very happy about that. Also a couple of catfish and a bunch of bass, mostly undersized. Everything on crankbaits, Rapala shad raps or similar.

    No elk tag for my grandson, GoHunt "predictive odds" said 100% but my guess was 30-50%, will see when the recap gets posted. A pisser because he drew the hunt a few years back but got pneumonia and couldn't go.

    A bit surprised that I actually drew an Abajo Mtns archery general deer tag with 1 point, as it has been taking 3+ in recent years. So I guess that's better than a poke in the eye with a stick.

    No sheep for me. I drew back-to-back goat and moose tags in 2014-2015, so Montana has been good to me. Can't complain but it would be nice to draw a sheep tag before I ride off into the sunset.
