    How many guys using Michelin LTX on your hunting rig? Experience?

    They are the best highway tire. I've used them on a bunch of my service trucks and my wife's vehicles. Long tread life and a great ride. They are not an offroad tire, if you want that performance you'll need something different or a set of chains with the Michelin's.

    Guess i should have asked..two tow chains for makeshift tire chains. Strap in my truck. No chains...Tundra. Im too chicken to put myself in a situation these days....been there, done that.

    I have run Firestone Transforce AT2 for almost 30 years on 2 trucks; 1997 Ram 2500 4x4 (bought new) and now 2009 Ram 2500 4x4 (bought new). I have run them in deep snow without problems up to needing chains off road. Good side lug too. Good over road mileage if you call 14-16 mpg good in loaded...

    Not sure, I typically use a tow strap and real tire chains. Less to turn into a projectile through the windshield if the strap breaks.

    What are truck claws? Never hears of tgem. Ars they as durable as a good set of chains like Pewags?

    Tire chains work better in the mud than any reasonable truck tire. A messy pain to put on and take off but they work. TruckClaws are also awesome when the going gets really sticky like gumbo. They also work in deep sand.

    ...tires to one with tracks. I’m a builder and the tracked version is much more useful for grading and dirt work. My concern is that I also use it with my snowblower. I have a steep driveway. Would the tracked machine spin out? Would it have as much traction as my wheeled machine with tire chains.

    Packed snow sucks for a track skiddy. Especially on a slope or if the snow gets a little packed on the driveway first, which i'm guessing you're not exactly flat in montana. They do make a snow track now which you'd have to swap out every season. No, personal experience with those new snow...

    ...LTX's on his Tundra (and I love the on-road ride and fuel economy of them)...they're absolute shit in mud. On the other hand, My '16 Tundra 1794 4x4 with a GoFast Camper on back nets me 15.6 MPG average on highway. But they ain't worth a dime in mud. Bring tire chains...and traction boards.
