2022 Toyota Tundra
Ok. Thanks for explaining this. So my 2008 tundra would have the same traction as a new truck without the locker? I think when you get stuck in snow it seems a lot of times one wheel spins while the other doesn’t on a 2018 ram 1500 I have run. But I never noticed this problem on my tundra- rogerthat

Tow/Recovery straps.
...in easier places and sxs or atv thru crap. With that said, sh@t happens so always have several straps and shakles in a bucket, 2 tire chains, truck claws and keep a spade shovel in truck at all times. Try not to use but most places i would get stuck there likely wouldn't be anyone to help me...- ccc23454

Tell me what tire chains to buy. Again...
...permitting I’m heading out in 30 days, come hell or high water, to do some backpacking, camping and skiing and I’m wondering if I need tire chains. Plan is to hit the SLC, Colorado and potentially Taos scene. Might let my nuts hang in Cali for a day or 2, but I’m pretty offended by the name...- DouglasR

2022 Toyota Tundra
The gen ii (07-21) didn't have a rear locker as an option from Toyota. It had a factory installed Limited slip differential (LSD) with some electronic configurations to use it in different ways. So it's not a true mechanical LSD, but an open differential with electronics that uses the ABS...- brocksw

Still have decisions to make on ammo and trying different loads, but Nosler can’t be found as far as I have seen. The 300 loves the new 180 Remington core lokt tipped ammo. ...CO forests. You'll be fine with them. Get good base layers of clothing, not expensive, just good non-cotton stuff. If you can, carry tire chains, shovel, tow chain/strap and hilift jack to get out or unstuck if it snows. Or you might be covered in dust...you never know. I'm also a believer in... -

I have a 2015 RAM 2500, says in the manual no chains up front. Chains in rear are ok. If pickup is stock & you used v bar chains & hit a bump hard I’d imagine the v bar’s would contact wheel wells. The more expensive issue is on the inside of the tire. It would take minimal slack to contact...- mthillrunner

I run heavy ice cleat chains on my plow truck. Better traction and I feel easier on the truck. On our wheelers I run the simple chain set up without the cleats. As I feel they rip the ground particularly the swampy areas. And the chain keeps the mud or snow from balling up on the tire...- Akcabin
