The one place this is VERY important IMO.......The UP of Michigan Deer and moose there have a hard enough time without the current unrestricted wolf predation. Conservative estimate of wolf take of deer up there by a VERY pro-wolf Michigan deer biologist was as much as the ENTIRE hunting take...- SFC B

High Wind Damage
It was touch and go for my fence for a couple of hours....In the 15 years we've had this house I have had to repair that damn fence like 4 time :( Looks like I skated by tonight. Hope everyone stays safe and warm.- SFC B

I will say that, depending on where you live and weather, sometimes the kennel/run is not an option. i've had an MS 251 for several years now and it has been utterly dependable and a reasonable weight. I'm going to use an electric trimming some woods in Indiana this spring/summer so I'll see how that goes. Nothing but good things to say about my saw though :)- SFC B

If you look hard you should be able to find one of these right around 500(look for them as Weatherby Vanguards as well, same as mentioned)......It is by far the best of what has been mentioned but you would still have to put a rail on it. I have not handled or shot the Stevens but can say... -
Best Reusable Game Bags?
Another vote for Caribou. Used my wapiti set on probably 20-30 animals and love them. Company is in CO and run by a family of hunters. Easy to use, clean and hang....quarter bags are big enough to fit all four 1/4s off of a decent WT buck.....ask me how I know :)- SFC B

Had some action between 1120- 1145. 2 does 100yd off but in woods with no shot(ended up prancing around neighbors field 😑) , 2 does running through the marsh with nothing below their eyes visible, and the only shot...... another forky at 50 yd 😅- SFC B

Out this morning on the marsh where my buddy shot his. I think deer sightings on his property are down this year due to the adjoining ag field having been completely plowed under and there being PLENTY of food behind us. Glad he got that nice dude but I'm a little slim on how right now...- SFC B
