    Cast & Blast, and Blast

That’s awesome, dope you found a spot where you can find all 3!

Anyone else an unwilling spectator this hunting season thanks to illness/injury?

Sucks you’re going through that. I hope you have a speedy successful recovery! My situation isn’t so bad, just having to adapt my plans due to injuries. Got a coastal elk tag, but due to my knees and back I’m having to limit myself to pretty flat/level areas. The chances of finding those...

    "Super Range"

Given how warfare has shifted over the last few years, this “super range” doesn’t even sound relevant anymore. Cheap small drones are the way of the future. Frontlines that look and sound like an overturned hornets nest, except they explode (I’m sure we’ve all seen some of the footage from...

Beware of Scammers on the Classifieds Section!

Same. Also Peesh, though I’m less certain about that one. I just got an off feeling reading through their previous posts. They all seem like AI generated responses/info; very little/no first hand experience or hunting stories, just stuff that google would spit out.

Beware of Scammers on the Classifieds Section!

Yup. But the rifle itself was all wonky. Mismatched fore end lengths, iron sights in one pic, none in the next, etc.

Beware of Scammers on the Classifieds Section!

Yep. I posted a WTB, and within 24hrs had 2 scammers sending me offers. Luckily the images were very obviously AI, tipping me off that it’s a scam. Stay sharp out there.

    Ruger Discontinues many models

Damn this bums me out. I’ve been looking for a lefty 308 Hawkeye, but they don’t seem to be very common, and cost an arm & a leg when they can be sourced. It was the only lefty Mauser action in commercial production. Now there’s none.

    Walnut vs. Synthetic rifle stock

Looking into the B-14 timber as well. Finding a lefty walnut stocked gun is tougher than it should be, and seemingly impossible to find one to get hands on in person before buying.

WTB: Left Hand Ruger M77 308

Like the title says, I’m wanting to buy a Ruger m77 LH in 308 win. Hawkeye or mk ii are preferred, not picky about blues or stainless. A wood or laminate stock is a bonus, but polymer is not a deal breaker. I’m not particularly after the GSR, as I prefer an internal magazine over detachable, but...

    Planning with chronic injuries

Thanks for the advice and encouragement. I’m getting linked with the VA PT team in the end of October, hopefully they’ll be able to better give me an honest assessment of where my reasonable expectations should be. The idea of paying for a big game guide has always kinda wrinkled my nose, but...

    Spot Sharing

I don’t have many “secret” spots, but I don’t mind sharing names of the main road or general areas. People have done so for me, so pay it forward I guess. Units are so large of an area that it’s nearly useless info IMO, so I’ll name those all day long.

That’s wild, glad to hear you’re doing better than you were before. Do you rent the goats, or own/raise them yourself?

    Planning with chronic injuries

That is crazy! Can’t imagine how he can ever get off a road, needing to rely on wheels. What a badass Can’t stand massages, I don’t like strangers touching me, but I’ve been going to yoga class at least once a week for the last year or so. Once I learned to ignore the fru-fru parts, it’s...

    Planning with chronic injuries

Dude, thank you! Looked into this after reading your comment and that’s exactly what knotted up. Had no idea about this muscle beforehand. Now I know (once I get it to calm back down) to keep it stretched out moving forward. Thank you all who’ve chimed in. Spent the last 4 days applying heat...

Thanks for the idea! I’ll look around and see if there are any such services nearby.

    Planning with chronic injuries

Never played basketball, or much of any sport really. I think my time in the infantry is mostly to blame. The best way I can describe what happens is that it feels like the joint slips and pops off its track, if that makes sense. It’s blinding pain for a few moments, then painful to bear any...

    Planning with chronic injuries

At the ripe old age of 35 I find myself facing the reality that I have physical limitations that are here to stay. I’ve known my knees haven been shot for years, but got an MRI on the left one this August. Full thickness fissure in the cartilage capping my femur. Still waiting on the referral...
